ShareX Integration

ShareX is a powerful screenshot and file sharing tool for Windows. With Slink’s built-in ShareX integration, you can automatically upload screenshots and images directly to your Slink instance.

  1. Create an API Key

Navigate to your Slink profile and create a new API key in the “API Keys” section. Give it a descriptive name like “ShareX Upload”.

  2. Download Configuration

After creating the API key, click “Download ShareX Config” to get a pre-configured .sxcu file.

  3. Import to ShareX

Double-click the downloaded .sxcu file to automatically import it into ShareX, or manually import via Destinations → Custom uploaders → Import → From file.

  4. Set as Default

In ShareX, go to Destinations → Image uploader and select “Slink” as your default uploader.

That’s it! ShareX will now automatically upload all screenshots to your Slink instance.

By default, uploads are private and a shared link only works once the image is published. To make ShareX uploads shareable immediately, open your account Preferences (a per-user setting in your own account, not the admin settings) and, under Image Uploads, enable Auto-publish API uploads (or set Default Visibility to Public).
